"Chappy did an outstanding job, from the moment he started talking to us, until we picked up our new Roadking Classic he made sure that everything was going to happen the way it should. Kyle stepped up to the plate and made sure the numbers were there and that we were happy with our deal. "My brother inlaw and I both purchased new Street Glides a week ago at Hot Rod and couldn't be happier with every step it took to get the bikes home in our garages.
They didn't have the bikes we wanted due to the options we requested on them so they did a search and found what we wanted and did a dealer trade.
My glide came from Southern Illinois and my brother inlaws in Ohio.
They were more than happy to get us the ones we wanted.
Their prices were the best we found!!
The sales team was always up front with us and kept us well informed of everything that was going on with the dealer trade, etc.

"Hotrod HD serviced my 2009 Triglide revearse and replaced the front tire during a recent visit. The pick-up and delivery were excellent and on time as projected - no waiting hours for the truck to show-up unlike the electric company.
The bike was washed and dryed without water marks and delivered in better condition than when picked up.
I will purchase my next Harley from Team Hotrod and will continue to drive 200 miles round trip to utilize the top service department.

"On a recent return trip to the UP of Michigan I had a engine check light come on along with the battery light while on the interstate. I stopped by to have it checked out and the service department went right to work at diagnosing the problem. I needed a new voltage regulator which was not in stock. They located the nearest dealer that had the part, charged the battery and I was on my way!! Great help when needed !! Thanks so much !! "

"I may not be your newest customer, but I am one of the newest, and I wanted to drop you a quick note to talk about my experience at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson.
Three or four weeks ago, I wandered in with my eldest son just to “graze” a bit, learn a little about Harleys and just scope out my options. A few minutes after I walked in, Ed Kejonen introduced himself and offered to answer any questions I had. I kept him busy for 30 minutes, easily. But, he answered every question, offered a few questions of his own about what I was looking for and, frankly, even when I told him I wasn’t sure I was looking to buy, he just chatted, told me what I needed to know and told me to drop by anytime.
I did, a week later; looked some more, sat on some more bikes, asked some more questions and went home with a model book. Three days and a visit later, and another three and another visit and, finally, I made an offer on a 2011 Fat Boy. Ed worked with Kyle and Nikki and I to make the deal happen. I took the Rider’s Edge course this week, and rode it home this afternoon. And I couldn’t be happier.
Everyone I came in contact at Hot Rod made me feel like I belonged there, that I wasn’t an outsider—even before I bought my bike—I was welcome and belonged there. Ed, my first contact, was great. Patient, willing to answer any question, and honest with me about his opinion on each bike and whether it worked for me. I surprised him when, at the last minute, I switched from looking at used bikes to buying the 2011.
Kyle made the deal happen, no back and forth, just a good offer that was good for all of us. And I appreciate that because, sometimes in life, the best deal is just there waiting to happen. Kyle made it so. No bull, just a good counter offer that made sense, I couldn’t do anything but say “yes.” And I did.
Nikki was great, got me a deal on financing. That left me with extra money to spend with Michelle, who patiently explained my options on helmets and jackets and rain gear. And, of course, I had to spend time and money with the boys in Parts and Service. Ed suggested some pipes and a windscreen, a couple of the guys in parts worked with me on a sissy bar and luggage rack. Service made it all happen and gave me exactly the bike I’ve been looking for. And, they showed it to me as it was being transformed, each time I dropped by. Which was, well, often. And that was a cool and nice thing to do.
I also want to send some praise to Paula, who took care of our Rider’s Edge group this weekend, made sure nothing went awry, took pictures and made it an enjoyable four days. And, of course, I want to tell you how impressed and appreciative I was of the care and patience that Linda and Steve displayed as they walked us through the course (sometimes literally). They did a great job and made me feel comfortable again on a bike after 30 years of being off of them.
When I picked up my bike today, Ed put the plate on, got it prepped and walked it outside for me. He took the time to point out everything I needed to know about it, made sure I was comfortable with the controls, that I knew all the little details about its operation and just felt comfortable.
As he talked and walked around the bike pointing things out, he would reach down with a polish rag and wipe a speck away, or a smudge, or a fingerprint, making sure that when I rode away, I was going to have a perfect bike.
And let me tell you. I do.
Clyde, I want to thank you for assembling such a great experience, because that’s what it was. Yep, you have a great staff, but they really made my purchase an experience… one that outshines any I’ve had in making a major purchase.
I’d appreciate it if you shared this note with all of them. From the moment I began looking at a bike and met Ed, to the moment I drove it away… wow. You guys are good.

"During the weekend of BIke Time 2011, your service department, specifically Jerry, helped me out. I understand that this weekend is xtra busy for the service staff trying to help out all of the out of town visitors who have broken bike issues. My motor wasnt broken as much as it was poorly set up by my selling dealer. While in Muskegon and far from home, i realized that my security system on my 2011 CVO Street glide had not been activated. I was sure that it was a simple computer issue so i called my selling dealer in ohio who advised that i must be doing something wrong. I asked Jerry in your service department about it and he said that it had probably not been activated by the selling dealer just as i suspected. After only a few minuites waiting, he had me pull it in and in about 10 minuites it was programmed and I was on my way. This was a great stress relief to me knowing that my motor could have been easily stolen before not having the system working. Many Many Many thanks to Jerry. kudos"

"I would like to commend Hot Rod H-D's service department for the outstanding service I received.
My 2010 FLHTC died on me this past 4th of July weekend for no obvious reason. My anger at the bike and missing possibly the best riding weather of the year was intense.
I called Hot Rod at 0815 on Tuesday morning. They had a van at my house by 1000. The driver was polite and friendly. He had the bike loaded and on the road in about 10 minutes.
I figured it would take several days before I heard anything about the bike. However, I received a call at 430 the same day, advising that my turn signal module, for whatever reason, had come disconnected. I was surprised and pleased that they had checked, located, and fixed the problem in such a timely manner.
I picked the bike up the following evening. When I arrived I was greeted promptly and my bike was brought out to me, clean and running!
I want to thank the service department for their politeness and prompt service. Hopefully the TSM will stay put this time, but you never know with a Harley!!

"I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how satisfied I was dealing with Nic Stewart in the parts department. I ride a 91 Ultra Classic and decided to repaint it. I was looking for the decal set for the bike. I was told by another dealership it was obsolete. When I talked to Nic while buying oil and filter he told me he could use the parts locator to find any dealership that may carry the decals. Because Nic cared enough to go the extra mile I now have found all of the decals and can keep my bike stock.

"I was recently in Muskegon on an extended bike trip and I needed my clutch adjusted. I also had to catch the 10:15 Lake express Ferry. I arrived at tyour dealership at 8:55 AM and asked the service tech if he could possibly make the adjustment in time to make the ferry. without hesitation he said "bring the bike right in." Not only did they adjust the clutch they washed my bike for me adding that "we don't ever let a bike leave here dirty." What a great experience. "On Sunday, July 18, 2010, two Wyoming Police Department motor officers drove over to Muskegon to assist Muskegon law enforcement agencies with the Mayor's Ride for Muskegon's Bike Time weekend. During the trip, one of our Road Kings developed a serious oil discharge. The officers were directed to your Service Center where your mechanics immediately took action and addressed the problem.
Once the oil problem was solved, your service staff then took the bike in and washed it, dried it and brought it back out ready for the Mayor's Ride. When my officer suggested that the bill be sent to the Wyoming Police Department, he was told the service was complimentary, in gratitude for the officer's assistance and service to the Muskegon community.
Working with local businesses and building positive relationships has, and will be, one of the primary goals at the Wyoming Police Department. However, when a business steps in to help us, even if we do not serve that business, it is worthy of recognition. "I just had my Road King put back together again after it kissed pavement in September (I know, keep it upright). The insurance company said I can take it where I want to and though a bit out of the way and not has convenient as other places where it could of been fixed, the only place I feel confident to get it done, and getting done right is at Hot Rod Harley Davidson.
The bike is repaired, it was finished in a timely basis and it is now better than ever. I knew it would be and it was.
The dealership is great, the people are great, they care about what they do and they care about their customers

"I just wanted to write and THANK YOU and your employees for being so helpful and fixing our bike last Sunday.
We drove over from Owosso to Bike Time and on Sunday when we started back home, I had transmission problems. I called your service manager and told him what was going on and he said to bring it in and they would take a look at it. So we drove it back (in second gear) and they got it right in and found the problem and fixed it for us. It was a broken return spring on the shifting fork. They took the bike in at noon and had it back to us approximately 4:15 pm. They put 2-3 guys on it to get it done and were very informative on what was happening and we GREATLY appreciated all they did for us.
Just wanted to let you know what a great team of people you have there and we really enjoyed the Bike Time Event again and will continue to tell our friends about the event and what a great dealership you have!!!"

"Hod Rod Harley Davidson Rescued our summer vacation! We had begun our trip around Lake Superior. First day ride West across Michigan to Ludington to meet the Badger ferry the next morning. About half an hour from Muskegon my motor rattles and the oil light comes on! I thought the trip was over. We called Hot Rod HD and they immediately sent a truck out to get us. We were at Hod Rod HD at 5:00 PM on a Wednesday with a motor I was sure was dead. Service was diagnosing the bike while rentals was finding a bike that I could rent for the next 8 days. They were determined to help us complete the trip. They had a suitable rental but as it turned out we didn't need it. The oil pressure problem was in the oil filter and the low oil pressure had allowed the lifters to collapse, very noisy but for only a second or two not fatal for the motor. I've never heard a motor fail due to low oil pressure but I was sure that's what it would sound like. A new oil filter and a bit of oil and we were on our way. We had an awesome ride around Lake Superior. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to everyone at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson that made sure we could continue. "

My friend Lawrence Cassavore and i took a bike trip to his families cottage on 8-8-08 to Pentwater Michigan.We planned on stopping at three Harley Davidson dealerships on the way but did not make it to Muskegon on friday before they closed.Friday night we decided to get up saturday morning and ride 45 miles back south to Muskegon.Lawrence called there to see what time they opened.When he told me 8:00 a.m. i did not believe him.However it is true,how convenient for the customers.Although i am sure that all of Carl's hard working employees would rather open at 10:00 a.m. like all the dealerships in my area.I was completely blown away by Hot Rod Harley Davidson of Muskegon.First the store is huge and extremely clean. Second,oh my god,location,location,location.The view from the second floor of the lake is exquisite.When we first walked in and went up to the second floor to look at the bikes we were approached by salesman Ted James. I have a 2003 road king and i am dreaming of getting a 2009 ultra classic.Ted was extremely knowledgeable,answered all of my questions and showed me all of the new options on a 2009 model.He then took the time to show us all over their amazing new building.Then we went to look at the clothig.If you ever make it to Hot Rod Harley Davidson you better bring lots of money or your credit cards because they have the sexiest,sweetest and most helpful women there to lend you some advice.Then we met the owner Carl Miskotten.What a great person.My friend Lawrence's bike had been in the shop for nearly three weeks leading up to our trip.Carl personally took us down to service to show us the difference between the old part that was breaking(fuel filter in gas tank) and how HD had molded the new part for added support and strength.He also told us how his dealership was adding an extra wire for support on their own to take extra care of their customers.I wish the dealers in my area took that kind of care of their loyal customers.All of the people at Hot Rod Harley Davidson made me want to drive 250 miles to buy my new bike from them.Also thanks to Kyle Heller for the time and advice you gave us.We look forward to riding back to your dealership.Hopefully for the big party on the third weekend in july.

"Where to begin, my son and daughter rented a bike from HotRod Harley on July 3rd to take a trip to the bridge with 14 other bikes. We had a great ride up and took a day trip on the 4th. On the 5th my husband and son took a ride, they noticed a leak in a line and called Hotrod, They were told to take it to the local dealer In St Ingnace. He could not fix the bike and it was now 3:45PM on a Sunday. Hotrod said they would send a replacement bike right up. By 8:45PM the replacement bike was there. What service!!! Everyone with us is talking about your dealership. With 15 bikes in our group all talking about your dealership, word will get around at how great you are!!! "My experience with Hot Rod Harley Davidson began on June 30 2008. After 276 miles on a road trip my bike quit running in a very sudden manner.
The bike, my wife and I were all taken to Hot Rod H-D by a flat bed truck.
From the moment we entered the store we were treated like friends. Jerry the service manager and the service tecs went right to work checking out my bike.
As it turns out they couldn't fix it that night but stayed after closoing time just to find out what was wrong. There was a broken part inside the fuel tank that had to be ordered.
At this point I was wondering how my wife and I were going to get home. We live 95 miles south of Muskegon.
That is when we met Carl Miskotten. He stepped in and made my day and extended a hand of friendship which I will never forget. Carl could see that my wife and I were a little upset and rather than let us struggle with trying to find a car rental, he offered us a Rental bike at a price I couldn't afford to turn down. Not only that but he and some of his staff stayed well past closing time get us safely back on the road.
Two days later I returned with the rental bike, to find my bike properly repaired and clean as a whistle.
I'll always be indebted to the owners and staff at Hot Rod Harley Davidson. My only regret is that I don't live close enough to their store to make it my home store and join their HOG chapter.
Great people and a great store. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and stop in, it's well worth your time.

"Not sure where to begin but here it goes. Ive had the bug to own a Harley for quite a while,visited the internet to check out the bikes and finally decided to stop and see what was available. The people at Hot Rod who had never seen me before treated me as I were a lifelong friend, and that with the dream of owning a Harley was all ot took to really get me serious. It did take quite a few trips before I actually decided to order a bike but I finally did it. I took my first step and ordered a Fat Bob and then the hard part started,the wait. As my time got closer to arrival I'm sure I drove everyone there nuts but they were all patient with me,I guess I was maybe a little excited. Then it happened,a delay on my order, what a bummer, but once again everyone was extremely helpful. Bob kept me calm, Kyle searched for another bike, Steve gave me info on other models that also had my interest, Nikki had all of the paperwork in line and I was ready but no bike. What happened after that was an amazing show of what these awesome people will do to make a dream come true.
The Fat Bob just wasn't going to show up soon enough and I was frustrated. Bob knew I had also eye balled the Street Glide so getting together with Kyle and Eric they went to work to make me an offer I couldn't refuse. Well needless to say they did and an hour later I was the owner of a brand new Harley. I can't really describe my feeling about a dream come true but I think we all had a smile afterwards, me because of a new bike and everyone at Hot Rod for making it all come together. And then there are all of the great people that are in clothing, service, and parts. What can I say other that I wish everyone I knew was just as great as they are.

My wife and I walked in just to look at the new HOT ROD show room and the Harley's early fall of 2007. Everyone was so friendly and they did not over power us as we walked in. I asked some basic questions about the bikes and sat on a few. Then I explained that I have wanted a bike for over 20 years and have only ridden as a passenger and did not know how to go about achieving the next step, which was learning how to ride. The HOT ROD family filled me in about the RIDER'S EDGE program and with my wifes blessing, I enrolled in the next available class and purchased my first motorcycle, a new 2007 XL1200L Sportster. I learned the basic rider safety skills which built my confidence level, then after passing the RIDER'S EDGE and getting my State of Michigan endorsement, all with-in about 3 weeks, I was enjoying the freedom I have heard about from so many people.

"WOW...what a weekend! Long story short. I was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Nomad 1600. My two Hog friends and their wives and I rode to Muskegon to see the lake a ride back in the same day. Our first stop was to Hot Rod so they could get some tee shits and stuff. Well, when we arrived,on Saturday,of Memorial Day weekend, the store was closed. As we sat on our bikes deciding what to do next, a silver hair gent, opened the door and said "HI...welcome, come on in, my name is Carl"
My metric bike was "commented on" but I had become thick skinned by now and paid no attention. As my two friends shopped I too browsed the new bikes. My eye spotted 08 Ulta Classic. As I admired that bike Carl came by and we chatted and one thing lead to another and the next thing I remember is I was the proud new owner of that Classic!
It was getting rather late in the day and Carl was concerned about our 3 hour ride home(Detroit area)and suggested that we stay in Muskegon for the night. We agreed and Carl made a phone call and then we followed Carl to where we would spend the night. What happened next was something out of dream. Respecting privacy, I will not reveal the owners name, but we(5 of us) are spending the night on a 45' boat!
The next morning,as we are preparing to leave, Carl comes by to see us and ends up leading us to the freeway home.
So, who's this Carl guy you must be asking? Besides our new friend, he's the owner of Hot Rod Harley.
If your thinking of a purchase, you owe it to yourself to go to Hot Rod and see Carl.

To our surprise, parking was unfortunatly difficult when we showed up. We asked ourselves what is the "Buzz" here. "Last Saturday, my husband Jim and I were on a color tour with our ministry group and we got a flat tire. We were with about 30 bikes and the whole group pulled off the road with us. We called both our roadside service with Harley-Davidson insurance and also called the Hot Rod dealership. At first we were told it would take 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours to get someone there and then we were called back and told "someone was on the way". Our group went on once they knew help was on the way and we waited in the gorgeous weather. Someone was there in no time and the bike was immediately worked on upon arrival at your shop. We were treated so awesome and even were offered lunch! My husband has been bragging about your dealership since passing the Rider's Edge course the previous week. He said he was treated like family. We had no idea we would have to use your services so soon! The tire was repaired in no time and we were able to call our group and catch up with them at Muskegon State Park. Of course we had nothing but awesome things to say about your dealership and the treatment. The group thanks you for taking such good care of us!
Again, we just want to thank you for making our first breakdown easy and somewhat enjoyable! We look forward to seeing everyone at the Rider's Edge alumni luncheon.

"I am writing to tell you what a great staff you have at Hot Rod Harley-Davidson. I was a student in the Riders Edge course last weekend, and I can't even begin to tell you what a great experience it was for me. I was not exactly the 'standard' student learning to ride - I came into the classroom with a complete phobia of motorcycles after having lost my brother in a motorcycle accident, and by taking the course was working towards conquering my personal fears resulting from that loss. The entire experience was so positive for me because of the great staff members. The course instructors were excellent, the program manager went out of his way to help me, and the general kindness of the office & showroom staff was just amazing. It's so unusual in this day and age to have any sort of a positive customer service experience, let alone a spectacular one, that I just had to let you know. I have worked in many office / administrative positions in my life and know that customer service is a rare commodity these days, and I just couldn't end my experience without at least letting you know what an awesome group of people you have working at your shop.

"I purchased a 2005 Softail Standard last June around the time of the new owners taking over. It was a large upgrade from the 79 Sportster I had from 1984-88. I'm still getting use to it every time I ride. I am very pleased with my bike. I can't say enough about the staff at HotRod. Any time my wife and I are at the shop we are greeted as soon as we walk in. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful they make you feel like part of a family instead of a customer. If I have any questions about parts, service or something I can add to my bike myself, they take time to answer and make sure I understand before I leave.
